COVID-19 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

As we are all adapting as best we can to the Covid19 situation, we appreciate your flexibility and understanding of the modifications we must employ to get through this successfully, together.  We have received several questions revolving around community living and how Woodloch is doing.

We’ve developed this FAQ page to share as much information with you as accurately and as current as possible.  This site will change often as our governmental guidance in operation has been changing often.

Will there be a 4th of July picnic?

  • Due to current challenges in our ability to maintain buffets along with the inability to adequately social distance the 600 plus attendees, we are unable to host this year’s picnic. However, the Clubhouse will remain open and feature a special 4th of July take out option.
  • Fireworks will be available on both July 4th and 7th. We strongly encourage you to join us on the 7th to ensure your best viewing experience.  If you can only attend on the 4th itself we ask that you park and view on The Inn side of the property.   Most importantly, please remember to maintain appropriate social distancing.

2020 Community Budget Status:

  • The budget is doing very well, even pacing a bit ahead of last year, and all delinquencies are in line.
  • You can access the minutes from all of the community boards on members.woodlochrealestate.com.

Tennis Court Upgrade:

  • We are removing one of the old tennis courts and giving the entire area a facelift and community enhancement with several additions:
    • 2 new pickleball courts
    • A new large playground for children 12 and under
    • A new swing set
    • New bocce court
    • Repositioned horseshoe pits

Construction on Woodloch Drive:

  • Aqua is upgrading their pumping station which was put on hold due to stay-at-home orders
  • Completion is expected July 1

Construction & Real Estate:

  • At Woodloch Pines, the new structure going up are 4 new Tallwoods units; beautiful three-bedroom, three-bath units which will be placed in the Woodloch Pines American Plan rental program.
  • Construction in Pennsylvania has resumed as of May 1st, and our builders division has been busy at work.
  • The real estate market is heating up of late. We have had 9 new contracts in just the last 3 weeks, with 4 more that are pending with more growth on the horizon.

Are there restrictions at The Woodloch Springs Sports Complex?

  • The Sports Complex is fully open with some capacity limitations on group fitness classes and indoor occupancies.

Are there restrictions at the Springs Outdoor Community Pool:

  • The Woodloch Springs Outdoor Pool has reopened with capacity modifications
  • Usage is on a first come, first serve basis and pool times may not be reserved
  • All residents, be it full time, part-time, vacation rental owner, and renters have the same access
  • Often, the majority of guests and renters will be more inclined to utilize the Woodloch Pines facilities than the outdoor spring’s pool.

Are there restrictions on the golf course?

Are there any dining restrictions at The Clubhouse (Overlook and Grille Room)?

  • Dining at Woodloch Springs is open for indoor, outdoor, and take-out dining.
  • Indoor dining is limited to 50% capacity and outdoor dining has spacing modifications; we ask that you make a dining reservation before you come.
  • Due to current Covid19 restrictions, dining at Woodloch Springs does not entitle patrons to the nightly entertainment at Woodloch Pines. Please refer to access of bracelet holders for more information in the Woodloch Pines tab.
  • Please note masks are required at The Clubhouse however, you do not have to wear your mask while you are dining.

Annual Bracelet Holders

  • Annual bracelet holders are welcome to use the facilities at Woodloch Pines.
  • You must have your temperature taken
    • Please stop by the reception center before you come over to Woodloch Pines to have yours and your party’s temperature taken
  • You are entitled to nightly entertainment with your ANNUAL BRACELET however; based on nightclub restrictions we will have a waitlist for bracelet holders. We will have a ticketing system in place to ensure overnight guests receive first priority into the nightclub, along with 2 identical shows nightly, then after 2pm, we will open tickets for the waitlist so long as we have the space.  You are welcome to enjoy any of the outdoor evening entertainment we are offering which does not require tickets.
  • You must wear a mask while in public spaces at Woodloch. You do not have to wear a mask while swimming, nor while you are isolated within your own party, nor while eating or drinking.  As you walk the grounds and interact with staff and other guests of Woodloch, please be mindful of those around you and wear your face covering.  Thank you.
  • The Woodloch Experience is slightly modified this year and some activities and amenities will require pre-registration. Please download the App and explore the Woodloch Experience.

Purchasing a Day Bracelet

  • Purchasing a day bracelet entitles you to enjoy the Woodloch experience between 10:00am and 5:00pm on the day your bracelet is active
  • How do you buy a day bracelet?
    • You can purchase a day bracelet outright with a reservation by calling 570-685-8002 and then pick up at the Reception Center. Bracelets are $30 per person; members of the Woodloch Springs Sports Complex can purchase for $15 per person with identification.
    • You can purchase a meal at Woodloch Pines, which will entitle you to a day bracelet for each attending member of your meal however; this is available on a limited basis only. You are required to make a reservation to ensure availability by calling 570-685-8002.
  • Day bracelet holders are not entitled to attend the nightly entertainment.
  • You must have your temperature taken
    • Please stop by the reception center before you come over to Woodloch Pines to have yours and your party’s temperature taken and pick up your bracelet

Is the Lodge at Woodloch Open?

  • Yes, the Lodge at Woodloch is open for overnight guests, a la carte spa treatments, as well as dining reservations in TREE restaurant with capacity limitations.
  • Please remember that The Lodge at Woodloch is a 16 and older facility.
  • We must maintain social distancing and it is important to follow our mask-use guidance throughout the property.

A la carte day spa treatment

  • A la carte day spa treatments will be offered. Due to governmental restrictions, the day spa experience will no longer include the use of the indoor pool, the indoor or outdoor whirlpools, steam rooms, or saunas.
  • All day guests are welcome to use kayaks and stand-up paddleboards on the spa’s lake as well as the extensive on-site trail system. Guests will also have full access to the archery range, cruiser bikes, geocaching, fishing equipment and disc golf.
  • Additionally, retreat locker rooms, private showers and grooming areas may be utilized, and both the Whisper Lounge and Gather Suite remain open for relaxing or socializing after spa treatments, but will have a 50% capacity limitation.
  • Day passes and day packages will not be offered given reduced class sizes as well as occupancy limitations in spa areas

Walking the grounds:

  • Unfortunately, since The Lodge has reopened, the grounds are reserved for guests of The Lodge only, and the grounds are not open to the public, nor community, for walking paths. Additionally, no pets are allowed on The Lodge’s property.

Dining at TREE restaurant:

  • While TREE will be open for outside diners, we are requiring advanced reservations. We will do our absolute best to accommodate you however, due to capacity restrictions, seating will be limited.

Wearing a mask and social distancing

  • Social distancing will be with us for the foreseeable future
  • Masks are required to be worn in public areas around other guests and when interacting with Woodloch staff. You may remove your mask when isolated within your own party, or when enjoying the pool or water features.

Has the family “transition” taken place?

Yes, as of 2019, the five members of the third generation are now in control of the business.  Brad Kiesendahl has taken the role of CEO, and all five family members manage a designated sector of Woodloch’s operation. Steve and JK are still very much involved in the operation and management of Woodloch. This is our life and our full spirit is here.  This is not only our business, but it is our home and we love what we do and sharing it as a family
